A pair of Sheffield newlyweds have opened a new eco-friendly in Broomhill to encourage people to shop for food sustainability.

The couple, Sam and Taylor Ogle-Timpson, of Whitham Road, said they hope to inspire others in and around the area to only buy what they need to ensure minimal waste.

Sam said: “Zero waste is an attempt to minimise the amount of packaging that goes between farmer and shop.”

They opened their new business on Monday and decided to name the shop after their two year-old rescue dog, Trixie.

Taylor said: “We have loved Trixie ever since we rescued her, she has become a huge part of our lives.”

Sam said: “Our aim is for both us and the consumer to actually be better in reducing waste.”

The owners have tried to keep their business as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible by using second-hand products ranging from their counters to their plant pots.

Sam said: “We’ve tried our best to source everything second hand.

“I cannot begin to say how lucky we are that everything lined up in the way that it has because otherwise we wouldn’t be in a shop half the size of this.”
