As counts wind down and all 29 seats that were up for election are declared in Sheffield, here’s the run down:

  • Labour: 15 seats (+2 from previous election)
  • Liberal Democrats: 7 seats (-2 from previous election)
  • Green: 6 seats
  • Independent’s: 1 (+1 from previous election)
  • Conservative: 0 (-1 from previous election)

Highlights from the day:

  • The conservatives lost their only seat as Labour gained on Stockbridge and upper Don, with Labour’s Mark Whittaker earning 2,399 votes, a landslide victory compared to the Conservatives 1,341 votes.
  • Turnout in Sheffield was 31.87% this year
