Almondbury:

Almondbury’s conservative councillor Bernard McGuin stepped down at this election, leaving the area open to a new challenger. Aside from McGuin, the other two seats are held by Lib Dems Cllr Alison Munro and Cllr Paola Davies.

Batley East:

Batley East is another one to watch after having a rocky 12 months, with a by-election taking place back in August due to former councillor Fazila Loonat being jailed. Last years election was a close call, with several recounts that saw just a mere 14 votes separating Labour and the conservatives, with Labour’s Habiban Zaman taking the victory.

Denby Dale:

Denby Dale could also be a close one with just 5% of the vote separating Labour who were victorious and the Conservatives last year.
