Save the Children UK has joined forces with Sheffield Hallam University to celebrate the positive impact a Shirecliffe nursery has on mothers and families.
Mothers from across Sheffield have gathered at Charles Street to express their gratitude towards Meadows Nursery, which has made mothers feel ‘Seen, Heard and Valued’.
The nursery helps children develop their unique qualities, confidence, skills and talents.
Rhianna Hayes, 22, a mother of two, said: “I am someone who wants to learn and try new things and have new experiences, I can be an anxious person but through Meadows Nursery, I have achieved so much.
“Now I know how to speak to people from different cultures and backgrounds because it is an open free space to learn and no one is judging you.”
The Sheffield Early Learning community aims to improve children’s speech, language and communication from ages zero to three years old.
Sarah Godfrey, 33, the Sheffield Early learning community leader said: “We want to make sure people feel really valued and we want to know that people are at the heart of decision making.
“We want to talk about people’s life experiences in a totally different way and bring those stories to life.”
