South Yorkshire charity Always An Alternative have unveiled a new amnesty bin and commemorative plaque for Harvey Willgoose.
Harvey Willgoose, 15, was fatally stabbed at All Saints Catholic High School in Sheffield on February 3.
The bin, which was installed outside Sheaf House Pub on Bramall Lane on Friday, will offer people carrying knives a place to deposit them without facing legal consequences.
It will be one of eight placed around South Yorkshire, with the charity also offering free knife collection and disposal services.
This comes after hundreds gathered in the city centre to form an anti-knife crime march in early February.
Always An Alternative are a charity dedicated to challenging gang culture and changing the mindset of young people through education, with the goal of reducing knife crime.
The charity has also started initiatives such as “What’s the point” with the aim to trade in standard kitchen-knives for a safer pointless alternative, “Victim’s Voices” a documentary focusing on the impact of knife-crime on families and “Why me” a short music video to raise awareness.
