Roots allotments site at Bowshaw Views, Dronfield hosted a community orchard planting masterclass on 15 March to bring the community together.
They bought 30 apple trees from local tree nursery, Sheffield fruit trees.
Patch Manager Will Russ who is running the masterclass said: “This is an opportunity to learn new skills, how to plant a tree and enjoy a time together that benefits the land.
“They can come out here, experience the plants and enjoy themselves”.
During the day participants were shown how to plant an apple tree and how to care for them after being planted.
Mr Russ made clear that being connected with nature is so important.
