A list of candidates for the upcoming Doncaster mayoral election have been confirmed.
The 12 candidates representing different political ideologies will contest the position, currently held by Ros Jones, and stand in the election on May 1st.

The election is shaping up to be controversial and dynamic, with candidates presenting a wide range of policies to the electorate.
One of the highlights will be Alexander Jones, personally endorsed by Nigel Farage, representing the Reform UK party.
Last week, messages from a social media linked to Mr Jones showing support for Andrew Tate, telling him to “Keep fighting the good fight”, was revealed.
The election is scheduled to take place on the first day in May, the same day the local government, town and parish council councillors will be elected.
