Senegalese percussionist Dudù Kouate and award winning Manchester ensemble Nomad will perform an intimate seated show at the venue Hagglers Corner.
The performance, showcasing on 11th April, will be a fusion of Celtic folk, jazz and African influences. Drawing from Dudu’s vast collection of over 200 instruments alongside classical strings and vocals.

Dave Shepard, 28, event manager at haggler corner said: “We’re trying to have hagglers corner be a pioneering venue for pushing a wide range of sounds in Sheffield.”
He added: “ We’re trying to bring in something different to the city.”
Dudu Kouate and Nomad first came together in France in the summer of 2023 for a Vibrant Sound residency, a collaboration between Creative peaks and Dubrek studios.
Josh Elliot, 49, creative director at Creative Peaks: “ They’re really great musicians and it’s quite an exciting interplay between European culture and African culture.”
Their upcoming Sheffield date is part of their debut tour following the recording of their first collective album last month.
Dudu Kouate said: “ Music is the easiest way to connect with people. I tried to have fun with what I’m doing.”

She added: “This collaboration has been so special for all five of us. It’s a celebration of culture, blending music genres and ultimately being human. I really feel we bring a little something for everyone.”
