Numerous strange pamphlets have been posted throughout South Yorkshire and further afield over the last 10 years.
Each pamphlet is numbered, with the one seen below called ‘58A Your Herald (Today and Tomorrow)’ and starts with a contact email address.
Fiona, aged 32, from Sheffield, said: “I’ve met the guy that delivers these 10 years ago. He seemed fairly reasonable, if a bit eccentric. He was mostly being polite and was upset with climate change.”
The contents of the leaflets range from global and national politics, to local affairs and even conspiracy theories.
The pamphlets do not seem to follow any direct path and seem to be more of a stream of consciousness switching from one topic to another. We have had to censor some of the content due to its nature.
The themes mentioned in this edition of the pamphlet include conflict in the middle east, boycotting barclays bank, criticisms of Keir Starmer, a dating organisation for ‘60 plus singles’, climate change, fuel economy, and flooding.
Further investigation shows locations throughout South Yorkshire have received the pamphlets as well as Pontefract, Leeds, York and Birmingham.
A spokesperson for Doncaster Palestine Solidarity Campaign said: “We have received numerous calls regarding this pamphlet, but we have nothing to do with it and don’t quite understand why our number has been included.”
Shef News has tried contacting the email address for an interview but we have yet to receive a reply, the email address is also linked to the climate group extinction rebellion.
