Environmental Groups in Sheffield are campaigning for greater awareness around Community Energy Projects.
Sheffield Renewables are a Community energy group who fund, develop, own and operate Renewable energy schemes which are financed through investment from members of the community, with profits being reinvested for new work and benefiting people locally and globally through their Community Benefit Fund.
They currently have projects at sites including Attercliffe Police Station, Swinton Fitzwilliam school, and Our Cow Molly, and are calling on Sheffield City Council for greater support, both in developing renewable energy projects and raising awareness of community energy projects to the people of South Yorkshire.
