Simon Crace has run local business MB Advertising and Marketing for 25 years, yet he claims they have never received any funding from the council.
This comes after the Sheffield City Council announced the Heart of the City plan, prioritising funding for businesses in the city centre.
Simon is amongst many senior businessmen campaigning for more funding for small and medium-sized enterprises in Sheffield.
He believes the council are chasing an impossible dream of returning the city centre to what it once was, and that time would be better spent prioritising other areas.
The council currently has no plans to prioritise funding for businesses outside of the city centre.
