St Luke’s Hospice in Sheffield, on Ecclesall Road South, has caught the public’s eye with their musical touch.
The hospice hosts many activities from bowling, gardening to painting, and with recent funding, Jill Aeppli, St Luke’s Activities Manager, brought music to the hospice with ukulele and singing groups.
Ms Aeppli expresses how much joy and comfort these musical activities can bring to people with early stage diagnosis. She said: ” All my working life I’ve given the information they need to make their own decisions”.
Aeppli’s father was in a hospice and so she knows the importance of social care, and the activity groups give the people freedom to do anything they set their minds to.
