It’s an exciting day for beer connoisseurs as after 30 years, Abbeydale Beerworks opens its doors to the public today.

Just a stones throw away from the brewery, the brand new Tap Room on Abbeydale Road will sell its latest brews and small batch specials, with the business planning to hold tasting and craft events.

Previously the much-loved Turner’s Bottle Shop, an extensive cellar refit has improved the capacity to eight keg lines and four casks.

One tap will be dedicated to other local breweries and is named the ‘Friends of Abbeydale Brewery Tap’.

Last Friday, ShefNews had the opportunity to visit the tap room’s open day and speak to Marketing & Communications Manager and Laura Rangeley.
