The 70th edition of the men’s Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix, part of the Lloyds British Cycling National Road Series, took place on Sunday 10 May.
In one of the most prestigious races on the cycling calendar, Alex Foster of Cycling Sheffield placed 4th overall and 1st in the U23 category.
Alex Foster, 20 from Stockport, started racing at the age of 10 when he joined a club at the Manchester Velodrome.
He won the 100th anniversary Danum trophy earlier this year in Doncaster in round two of the U23 Open National Road Series.
In Lincoln, a big crash early on in the race took out a couple of Sheffield riders on the team but the remaining few fought on and placed well.
Ollie Wood and his new team Rapha CC claimed victory.
