Last Friday, 30 seats were up for grabs in the local elections, and of those, Labour only won three.
Major ground was lost to Reform UK and the Greens, taking 12 and ten seats from Labour, respectively.

However, the greatest loss to Labour in Sheffield was undoubtedly its council leader, Tom Hunt.
Speaking to the media after his defeat to the Green Party by a mere 73 votes, Hunt, said: “This was always going to be a difficult set of elections for the Labour Party.”
The Green Parties’ Andy Davies unseated the former council leader in Walkley.
Davies says his win in a traditionally Labour ward reflects a wider dissatisfaction with the Labour Party’s leadership in Parliament, especially on key issues such as Gaza and council housing.
