Sheffield Hallam University face strike action due to job cuts
Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) plan to slash hundreds of academic jobs leaving staff ‘furious’ and ‘forced to strike’.
University and College Union (UCU) members at SHU said that 225 jobs will be cut, with up to 80 staff members confronted with compulsory redundancy.

Vegan Market co have confirmed they’re returning to Sheffield, with the event will taking place on April 28 at the Moor Market.

Sheffield Wednesday’s Community programme is set to launch the new ‘Free-Kicks’ campaign, this Monday. The new initiative will allow people to exchange used footwear for money, with funds being provided to asylum seekers.

Dump Truck used to carry Sheffield United fan to funeral
David Newton had pre planned his funeral roughly 10 years prior to his death, making sure the dump truck was included.
The 81 year old from Whitwell, Derbyshire passed away from a heart attack and used a funeral director.
