Sheffield gym go-ers celebrate National Exercise Day

National Exercise Day is celebrated annual on April 18 and today has seen many take part.

Fitness trainer and powerlifter Sarah Willis (@mindovermusclept), competes in competitions every year, and stopped her tough workout to chat about how taking time out of your routine to prioritise your health can often seem like a difficult task to fulfil, but something that you’ll always benefit from, both physically and mentally.

Internationally renowned Sheffield artist featured at Millennium Gallery

Renowned street artist and muralist Phlegm has had his work, ‘Pandemic Diary’, featured at Sheffield’s Millennium Gallery.

The Welsh-born and Sheffield-based artist, whose professional name comes from Ancient Greek medicinal practices, has had a residency at the Gallery since January, and will be featured there until July.

The artist’s portfolio of work, which includes murals, pen/ink drawings, comics and sculptures, have been featured in many exhibitions since his rise in popularity and has earned him global recognition due to his distinctive style.

Peter McKee is asking for the public to help track down some of his original artworks to help put together a major new exhibition at Weston Park Museum.

Fundraisers set to abseil down Sheffield Hallam’s Owen Building

A team of abseilers are set to scale one of Sheffield Hallam’s university buildings in a bid to raise money for The Children’s Hospital.

One of the abseilers, Lauren Morton, 35, said: “I want to raise money for a great charity, it’s something to test myself a little because I am terrified of heights. “
