BREAKING NEWS: Man climbs height of Everest in mental health challenge after cousin took her own life
Simon Watts, from Greystones, Sheffield, has raised over £1,500 for a mental health charity in memory of his cousin.
Mr Watts said: “I had no sleep. I started at about 2 in the morning on Saturday and went through until about 8 in the evening on Sunday.”
Mr Watts has felt strongly about spreading awareness for mental health issues since he lost his friend to suicide during the pandemic.

Ellie Colton, a 25-year-old BBC Presenter, has suffered from endometriosis since the age of 11.
In honour of Endometriosis Awareness Month, she has spoken out on how this condition affects her life everyday.
Ellie said: “I wish people would believe the pain. You constantly feel like you need to prove how sick you are. Every day I wake up in pain, spend the day in pain, and go to sleep in pain. That’s endometriosis.”

BREAKING NEWS: Sheffield surgeon praises new-style pacemaker
A new style of pacemaker that can be inserted directly into the heart has been praised by a Sheffield surgeon.
Dr Nigel Lewis, from Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, mentioned the new pacemaker was smaller than a triple-A battery and was “game-changing“.

The Met Office has said: “A cold start Saturday, then bright until late afternoon, with rain arriving during the evening. Early cloud clearing to showers Sunday. Cloudy with outbreaks of rain Monday. Temperatures near normal.”
