‘Women’s football does have a place in the game’: Manager reacts to latest football campaign

A grassroots football manager has spoken out in support at the latest campaign aimed at removing discrimination around women’s football.

Dearne and District Ladies manager, Jack Crookes, has spoken about the benefits of other campaigns such as #KeepingSCORE and #HerGameToo campaigns.

Steelers lift their first trophy in four years after midweek triumph

Sheffield Steelers were crowned Challenge Cup champions, following a 3-1 victory against Guildford Flames. 

Last night’s victory marks the sixth time they have won the Challenge Cup.

Sheffield City Council approves ‘Period and Menopause Equity’ draft charter

A draft of the ‘Period Equity and Menopause’ charter was approved by Sheffield City Council on Tuesday.

The initiative aims to support all those who menstruate, along with efforts to provide free period products at schools and workplaces.

Sheffield Hatters’ Stars set to play in inaugural Women’s All-Star Games

Three of Sheffield Hatters’ players have been selected to feature in the first ever women’s All Star game for the Women’s British Basketball League.

Georgia Gayle, Emma Eichmeyer and Madison Washington were chosen to represent the North for the match this weekend. 

The All-Star weekend is set to take place at London’s Copper Box Arena on March 17, 2024
