Peak Performance: Sheffield Hosts the Apex of BUCS National Championships

British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Nationals will return to Sheffield in 2024, showcasing the best of student sport. The event will take place this weekend from Friday, February 23 to Sunday, February 25.

Sheffield road resurfacing plans resumed after years of delays

Consultations about the resurfacing of more than 20 Sheffield roads have been resumed after being put on hold for seven years.

With concerns for tree welfare, Cllr Barbara Masters has said that the council is now being ‘ultra cautious’ about how they are proceeding, and that unless a tree becomes dangerous it will remain how it is.

Making a Splash: Dive into the Way of the Water

Creative group Matterlurgy held a special event at the Millennium Gallery this Wednesday evening to mark the opening of their new exhibition.

The display was curated by Helena Hunter and Mark Peter Wright in order to illustrate the importance of water to humans and how it is intertwined with community.

Boxing club which ‘prevents knife crime and gangs’ faces possible closure.

Aspire Boxing Club has been fighting to stay open after the Sheffield Inclusion Centre school failed to renew its lease.

It  is run by volunteers and has trained thousands of people since it opened 30 years ago.
