The Sheffield Cats Shelter opens new charity shop in Broomhill

The Sheffield Cats Shelter has opened its newest charity shop on Crookes Road to help more cats and kittens in need across the city. 

The shop was officially unveiled on Thursday 22nd February at noon by the charity’s patron, former Dancing On Ice star and Sheffield-born cat lover Frankie Seaman.

Sheffield charity Friends International hosts culture exchange dumpling-making event

Friends International, a registered charity with a mission to help international students, is hosting a dumpling-making event tomorrow to celebrate the Chinese Lantern Festival.  

Chinese Lantern Festival which is celebrated on the 15th day of the first lunar month and marks the grand finale of the Chinese New Year festival.

National success for Sheffield skincare expert

Izzy Gannon, 28, is the founder of Fixation Skincare based on Abbeydale Road, and has been named as a finalist in the UK Hair and Beauty Awards and the National Beauty Awards. She is up for titles such as best clinic, best skincare therapist, and skin care specialist of the year.

Weather: Sheffield looks set to escape the snow despite sub-zero temperatures by the weekend
