Throughout skateboarding history, LGBTQIA+ faces have influenced the sport. Skateboarding has always valued inclusivity as a key value of its ethos. Events like ‘A Queer History of Skateboarding’ are encouraging higher skateboarding participation from the LGBTQIA+ community – creating a safe place for the community to be a part of in the process.
