Tickets prices for the FA Cup semi-final tie have been released ahead of the Sheffield United clash against Manchester City at Wembley.

Despite the club’s small stature, this will be their second FA Cup semi-final in the last decade, last reaching this stage in 2014.

Blades fans were already likely disheartened by the unfavourable draw before finding out tickets would range from £30 to £105.

Matthew Jackson, local fan, said: “In my opinion it’s all wrong, family of three to Wembley potentially £125-200 and coach fare, help!”

The bulk of the tickets (12,645) are priced at £65 for an adult and £55 for concessions; however, with transportation, questions could be asked about the choice of venue.

The club had been allocated 34,000 tickets, which go on sale on 6 April for season ticket holders and 14 April for general sale.

Both sets of fans will have a significant journey ahead of them, with a 334-mile and 400-mile round trip respectively.

This had forced fans to choose between forking out a minimum of £77 for train tickets or spending approximately £60 for petrol.

Though there are coach services available for the travelling fans, the trip would take upwards of four hours.

Matt Zanelli, another fan, said: “All I wanted was to take my dad and I can’t even do that now, great.”

In addition to this, it has previously been reported that hotel rooms in the area have doubled since the draw.

The game will take place 22 April at 4:45, squeezed between league fixtures against West Brom and Bristol City.

Tommy Doyle, who scored a last-minute winner in the previous round versus Blackburn, and James McAtee will be unavailable against their parent club.

Sheffield United will also be without Rhian Brewster and Rhys Norrington Davies, who have both been ruled out with injuries.

Blades fans will hope to overcome the current Premier League champions and leading Premier League top scorer in Erling Haaland.

In the event United progressed, the Cup final has already been scheduled for June 3rd nearly a month after the club’s championship finale against Birmingham.
