The Graves Park Country Show returned on May Bank Holiday for its 10th year running.

The event offers a fun day out for families, and makes use of the vast space that Graves Park has to offer.

The show hosted a range of independent business stalls, charity stands, as well as activities such as an extreme mountain biking show, axe-throwing, fairground rides and much more.

However, despite the event’s huge success and positive atmosphere, the sheer amount of people that attended created issues regarding parking and poor wifi signal for card machines.

“Getting in was a bit of a mission,” said Allison Macdonald, 32, who had brought her two sons out to enjoy the last day of the long weekend.

“They had to close one of the car parks for some reason so everyone had to fit into one. It was a bit of a faff but I didn’t want to make a fuss because it must have been a lot of stress for the parking wardens.”

As well as parking issues, the amount of people at the show created technical issues with contactless payments, something that was particularly problematic for employees at the Graves Park Animal Farm.
