The Exposed Magazine Awards took place last night with guests celebrating businesses, cafes, and pubs in Sheffield.
Previous winner Annie Judes and nominee The Hillsborough Bookshop were up for the award for Best Independent Shop.
Sophie Rowe, owner of Hillsborough bookshop said: “To be shortlisted is surreal. It is a confidence boost for what we are doing in the community here in Hillsborough.”
Five small businesses who reside in Hillsborough were nominated for awards last night.
Faith Nicholson owner of Annie Judes said: “I think Hillsborough is a gem and no longer hidden, it has grown so much in the last five years. People come and have a day out here now and these awards are recognising the hard work the small businesses do.”
