Graves Park Animal Farm on Hemsworth Road, Norton had recently appealed online for the local communities in Sheffield to send in knitted jumpers for the orphan lambs to wear as of the cold weather.
There are 35 orphan lambs at the farm and the smaller lambs receive jumpers as they need extra warmth due to their mothers not being around to provide body heat and protection for them.

Having the jumpers adds an extra insulated layer for their bodies to conserve energy and heat in the colder months.
Judy Butcher, who knitted a couple of jumpers for the lamb, said: “I knitted the lambs jumpers because I saw the appeal on the Graves Farm facebook page and I had spare wool so thought why wouldn’t I help out.”
The farm has received many knitted jumpers from the community and have hung them up on clothing lines.

Farmer Jack said: “Thank you to everyone who’s been knitting away so far, keep knitting till your hearts content and bring them to the animal farm. We have got tons of jumpers but we will take more. The lambs are absolutely loving them.”
On the 19th of February two other animals arrived at the farm barn, they are called Tillie and Millie and are kids.

Both the lambs and kids are sharing the barn however the kids are separated from the lambs and with their mother.
With it being half term the farm staff are working hard to look after the new additions. So have added later feeding slots for the lambs for the public to help feed and pet the lambs at 7pm.
They have timed slots at 10.00am, 12.30pm and 3pm during the day.
However this experience is not suitable for children under the age of two or anyone who is pregnant as there is a potential risk of infection of disease that lambing and lambs carry.
