On 21 March, nine venues across Kelham Island saw over 40 performances for Sheffield’s first jazz festival.

Organised by Dave Sheard (also known as Nonna Fab) and Danny Tennant, Kelham Jazz Festival showcased popular Northern artists such as Franz Von, TC and The Groove Family, and Montuno.

The event included a mixture of both live jazz and DJ sets, hosted in intimate spaces such as Shakespeare’s, as well as warehouse venues like Peddler Market.

Food stalls were available outside most venues, and various musical workshops were running throughout the day.

After the success of their first event, organisers hope that Kelham Jazz Festival will become an annual affair for Sheffield.
