The day party held earlier this week will donate all of the profits from the event to the Peak District Mountain Rescue Organisation, made up of seven mountain rescue groups and one cave rescue team, with many members of the groups present at the event.
Organised by Ben Marks, DJ and volunteer operational manager, CRUX was the first event by the group, held at Southbank Warehouse and featuring five DJ acts throughout the night.
“I already have a few ideas for events in the future,” said Ben Marks, “We’re going to make it bigger and better.”
The next event is set to be held at the end of August, with all the proceeds again going to the PDMRO.
