People in Sheffield took part in Eurovision celebrations at the weekend.
Organised by Sheffield City Council, the event attracted hundreds of people who celebrated the renowned music contest.
Eurovision 2023 took place in Liverpool, with a live event screening all across the UK, and Sheffield’s Devonshire Green was one venue.
Ukrainians living in Sheffield decided to promote their culture and country by hosting stalls for activities including making traditional Ukrainian dolls and painting traditional pysanka – a type of egg decoration.
Two volunteers Roksolana Rohozhynska and Mariia Saprykina told us the background story and the excitement of hosting the festival in the UK as Ukrainian.
