Spring makers market returns to Sheffield this Saturday from 10am to 4pm with a curation of 63 independent makers stalls from across the UK.

The market has been held by Endless Love Creative since 2017, an organisation founded by Charlotte Righton, from Sheffield.

She said: “Our Markets celebrate independent artists from across the UK.

“We have a distinct aesthetic which our visitors really love, showcasing both established and emerging makers.

“We wish to bring people together to celebrate independent art, craft and design.”

The stallholders are also brought together by the market.

Charlotte said: “What visitors might not know about our markets is that in the run up to our events we host group calls online for the stallholders, which helps establish connections and build upon our community of creatives.

“This means when you visit our market you’ll get a real sense of community.”

As the only city makers market is held in England, Charlotte gave her reasons why.

“Sheffield is our OG, I chose to host in Sheffield as it’s my hometown and there was space for something in Sheffield that brought an abundance of independent makers into the heart of the city.”

The market is hosted in the Cultural Industries Quarter at The Workstation, right next door to Site Gallery, the wonderful Kollective Kitchen cafe and indie cinema Showroom.

The founder mentioned that they made sure the site is near public transport as both visitors and makers come from across the UK to join the event.

Charlotte said: “We feel so lucky Sheffield has a real love for independent art, craft and design, and so grateful to our visitors.”

Edwina Kung, 29, a visual Artist who is taking part in the market this Saturday said: “I love how the market is curated, and I would love to meet the other small business owners and customers in person.”

Edwina has been joining makers market for 2 years, she was selected from up to 250 applicants to participate in the market.

She has also taken part in the Bears of Sheffield trail as an artist and the bear she painted was sponsored by Crystal Peaks.

The Endless Love Creative events are hosted in Sheffield three times a year, February, May and November, the next market will be back on Saturday 23rd November.
