More than 150 students from 28 schools across South Yorkshire came together at Rotherham’s New York Stadium for a major climate action event.
The event organised by Schools’ Climate Education South Yorkshire aimed to inspire young people to take meaningful action against climate change.
Throughout the day, students participated in interactive workshops, heard from environmental experts, and collaborated on ideas to promote sustainability.
Alex Wirth, a head teacher at Anston Greenlands Primary School said: “I think it’s been an absolutely fantastic event.
“It’s great for children that they have an opportunity to come and see people who are driven to make changes to our climate and our environment.
“It’s doing a positive thing for the children and that’s a really wonderful experience.”
