A Christian organisation is aiming to cover every street of Sheffield with prayer this Easter.
Arise Sheffield’s Easter Mission unites over 1,000 Christians from 100 different churches across Sheffield through prayer walking. Arise has an app that tracks what streets have been prayer walked and lights them up gold, with their aim to light up every street in Sheffield.
Lydia Rolley a user of the Arise app has taken this goal one step further and has organised ‘Breakfast, Prayer + Litter picking mornings’ which combines prayer with the greater goal of cleaning up the streets of Sheffield.
Ben Woollard a member of the Arise team said: “Each event might not be big, but the idea is that it’s community-based and continuous in the area.”
