Sheffield Mind will benefit from an increase in funding after creating their partnership with the new Graves Park Food Festival set to take place in Graves Park, Sheffield.

The revenue will be generated through a two-way process, where funds will be donated to the charity while also generating income for small local businesses.
Margaret Lewis, Chief Executive Officer of Sheffield Mind said: “This is a great opportunity for all involved, and we are excited about the positive impact it will have on the communities we serve.
“Through this partnership, we aim to reach new audiences and create meaningful conversations around mental health, encouraging more people to seek support.”

The festival is organised by the creators of the North Leeds Food Festival.
Across their events in Leeds, Ilkley and Harrogate, they have raised £127,000 for mental health charities so far.
Michael Johnston, Festival Director said: “It’s a massive privilege to work alongside Sheffield Mind for our debut event. Mind deals with issues that affect each and every one of us, whether that be directly or through our loved ones.”
He added: “We want to show continued support for mental health initiatives across the North, and working with Sheffield Mind is a fantastic way to achieve that.”
Although Sheffield Mind have affiliation to the national charity Mind, they do not receive direct funding from them. This event will serve as vital funding.
Mrs Lewis added: “The festival will not only generate essential income but also serve as a powerful platform to raise awareness of the mental health services we provide across the city. Funding is always an issue and support is always welcome.”
The food festival will run for two days on August 30th and 31st and will feature various international food stalls, street food, artisan markets, an ale house and live music and entertainment.
There will also be a fun fair and cookery demonstrations throughout the day.
Tickets for the event are available to purchase now and cost £6.95 for a full-day adult ticket, £4.95 for an under 16 ticket, while under fives can gain entry for free.
2% of the total park area will be temporarily fenced. The rest of the park will remain open and accessible to the public as normal.
