A large machete was found during a raid of a cannabis factory in Kirk Sandall, Doncaster.
Officers from Doncaster East Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a drugs warrant after gathering intelligence on suspected illegal activity at the address.
Inside, they discovered a cannabis cultivation operation, along with multiple nitrous oxide canisters and drug paraphernalia.
The electricity supply has also been bypassed to support the grow operation, creating a serious fire risk to surrounding properties.
A machete was found and seized at the scene, while forensic officers gathered evidence before dismantling and destroying the plants.
A man has since been identified and arrested on suspicion of drug offences and possession of an offensive weapon.
Inspector Alison Carr warned that cannabis farms are often linked to organised crime and human trafficking.
She urged the public to report any concerns about drug activity, stating: “By cutting out their supplies. We are able to severely limit their influence and reduce the harm they cause to our communities.”
