Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre hosted its 49th World Snooker Championship Tournament throughout April this year.
The Championship was first staged at the local venue in 1977 and the tournament was originally founded in 1927.
Ivan Hirschowitz, Head of media for the World Snooker Tour said: “Straight away, everyone working for the event loved the theatre, it’s just got this very unique atmosphere.
“It’s quite small and intimate, there’s less than 1000 people in there, but it just has something special, an atmosphere which can’t be replicated.”

The 2025 event has been organised by the World Snooker Tour and is sponsored by the technology company Halo Service Solutions.
The Tournament is to finish next Monday after starting on the 19 April with the winner set to receive £500,000.
