Munise Emetulla, a traditional Tezhip and Persian artist has been opening her workshops to the public.

Last weekend her workshop saw her teaching the people of Sheffield how to make their own natural pigments using traditional tools, and how to create a range of biomorphic patterns by exploring Ottoman and Persian traditional art techniques.

Having recently moved to Sheffield, Munise wants her workshops to focus on the marriage between art and spirituality.

Her next event is a two-day workshop at Sheffield Botanical Gardens learning how to create Persian carpet motifs and making gold water colour paint.

This will be held on the 24th and 31st May and tickets for the event can be found here.
