After being in the food industry for over 15 years, business partners Alessio Giummarresi and Giuseppe Cannavo bring a reminder of their Sicilian culture to their brand new pasta bar, Ciauru.

The owner’s hope is to provide customers with “something fresh, something homemade, something that reminds you of Italy”.

The restaurant will serve a variety of pasta shapes and sauces, with both vegan and gluten-free options.

The opening of the new restaurant was inspired by the success of their first café, Made in Sicily, which started as a food stall in Crookes and sold out within three hours on its first day.

Ciauru is set to open at the end of March and is located down the road from their first café in Crookes, Sheffield.
