Lily Allen has kicked off her tour in Glasgow on Monday (March 2), marking her first public show in seven years. The singer will be performing her new album: “West End Girl” in full at Sheffield City Hall tomorrow, on Saturday 7th for her sold out tour.

The set is comprised of two acts: the first half filled with earlier favourites, and the second seeing her play her acclaimed, BRIT-nominated 2025 album in full.

After her first gig back from her seven year break, The Observer said: “On the first night of her West End Girl tour, Allen maintained a steely control throughout some of the most nakedly emotional material of her career.”

The Independent dubbed her performance on Monday as “dazzling” and “captivating”. While The Guardian questioned the risk of not playing “the hits” and instead exclusively performing songs from her new album.

The album was recorded in just 10 days, and followed the break-down of her marriage to Stranger ThingsDavid Harbour, following claims of his infidelity.

Her performance in Glasgow included a viral “receipts dress” where the singer pulled a large piece of cloth from under a bed, which was printed with giant screenshots of messages, symbolising the dishonesty in her marriage.

One Redditt user, particledamage said: “A 44 minute concert for $100+ is a very, very high ask. The production better be incredible.”

While another Redditt user JalapenoToastie said: “It’s an awesome album and I definitely think it needs to be played in full. It would be good to see her perform some older songs too, but as an artistic choice it makes perfect sense to just perform the album.”
