Weekend Offender, a predominantly online retailer, has opened a store in Sheffield City Centre on Cambridge Street.

This shop is just the second one they have opened in the UK, with their first store located in Bridgend, Wales – where the company was founded back in 2004.

Cllr Ben Miskell, Chair of the Transport, Regeneration and Climate Policy Committee at Sheffield City Council, said: “Our fantastic Heart of the City development continues to grow and welcome in nationally recognised brands to Sheffield.

“Weekend Offender is the latest to show confidence in what the City Council has done by opening their first shop outside of Wales right here in the heart of our city.”

Inspired by football terrace culture and known for its functional, no-nonsense, menswear with a defiant twist, Weekend Offender will offer a collection that includes jeans, hoodies, t-shirts, shorts and a selection of kids’ wear.

Kyle Barley, Retail Manager at Weekend Offender, said: “Moving out of our birthplace of Wales and into England has been a monumental step for us to take. The move doubles our shop portfolio, so we wanted to make sure that we got it right.

“When we toured around the Heart of the City development, we knew straight away that we wanted Sheffield to be the place where we expanded into for the first time. The city is the birthplace of football, and has a wonderful scene that fits in perfectly with our brand. Sheffield also has a history of strong online sales for us, making it the natural choice.”

The store is open 9:30am – 6:00pm on weekdays, 9:00am – 6:00pm on Saturday and 11:00am to 5:00pm on Sunday.

The heart of the City is fast becoming a magnet for distinctive brands and Sheffield, is proving it’s a serious destination for modern retail.
