Two elderly people have been found dead at a property in Doncaster in what police are treating as a non-suspicious investigation.
Following reports of two people with serious injuries, South Yorkshire Police were called to a property on Brockenhurst Road in Hatfield, Doncaster at around 7.50pm on Sunday 26 April.
Officers attended alongside the ambulance service and discovered an 82-year-old man and a 78-year-old woman, both of whom were pronounced dead at the scene.
Detective Chief Inspector Ben Wood, the senior investigating officer, said:
“Our investigation is ongoing and we are working hard to understand the circumstances surrounding what happened. We are keeping an open mind, and will be led by the evidence, however at this time we are not looking for anybody else in connection to these deaths.”
Family members have been informed and are being supported by family liaison officers, who have asked for privacy to be respected.
A scene was established at the property but has since been removed. Investigations remain ongoing.
Officers remain in the area at this time and police urge anyone with concerns or information to please speak to them or visit South Yorkshire Police
