Sheffield Wednesday have today released the prices of their season tickets for the 26/27 season.

Adult season ticket prices are down from 10% compared to last season, with a ticket in the Kop stand dropping from £460 to £415.

A statement from the club’s official website said: “As one of the first major initiatives under new ownership, we’ve undertaken an extensive review of previous Season Ticket strategies. “This has led to a clearer approach to sales phases, simplified age banding, and a renewed focus on ensuring our loyal fans are rewarded with the best possible prices.”
The decrease in prices comes following the club’s takeover by Arise Capital earlier this month from Wednesday’s previous owner Dejphon Chansiri.

The club has also confirmed revisions in pricing across junior tickets with a new £1 per game season ticket for under 14s, working out at just £23 for the year.

Season tickets went on sale earlier today at 10:00am, and there is hope amongst supporters of a greater increase in attendances at Hillsborough following the reduction in prices.

Tom Daniels, a Sheffield Wednesday based in Broomhill said “It just feels like common sense to lower the prices.

“We’ve been paying through the nose for over a decade for quite frankly poor ownership and poor football throughout that time, so I’m really optimistic for the future.”

Fellow Wednesday fan Evan Simenon said “Well we’re obviously delighted to see the back of Chansiri and the insane prices we’ve had to pay.

“I know people getting season tickets here for the first time in five years, it’s a testament to how much has changed already under the new ownership.”

Supporters who did hold season tickets in the 25/26 season will have until June 16th to retain their seats for the upcoming year.

The Owls had managed to average over 25,000 fans per home game in each of the last three completed seasons before 25/26.

Wednesday’s first team squad is currently bracing for their first season in the EFL League One since 2023, having avoided a 15 point deduction for the upcoming season following Arise Capital’s takeover.
