Operation Scorpion has been rolled out on the streets of Sheffield city centre

Police in Sheffield reportedly delivered enforcement and engagements against violent crime and associated drug use at night.

The policing operation this weekend resulted in five arrests and the recovery of Class B drugs as well as a knife.

The operation forms part of South Yorkshire Police’s wider Grip Programme of activity.

Local Sheffield artist set to release UK tour tickets

Tickets for Sheffield born artist, Ed Cosens, is releasing tickets to his UK tour tomorrow.

Cosens, former bandmate of Artic Monkeys’ Alex Turner, had a previous show in Sheffield sold out in under two hours.

Tickets are released at 10am tomorrow for the gig at The Leadmill.

Plans to build 120 homes on a demolished bus depot in Rotherham

Outline planning permission has just been granted to develop a former bus depot into a new housing area.

The area on Midland Road is set to be transformed into a mixture of houses and apartments.

A quarter of these homes are designated to become ‘affordable housing’.

14-year-old has been missing for two days

Police are appealing for anyone with information about missing 14-year-old boy to get in touch.

Tommy is missing from Bromley but is believed to have links to Sheffield.
