Takeaway restaurant received a one star food hygiene rating

Adnan’s, a takeaway on West street in Sheffield, received a one star rating on food hygiene after the food inspector found soiled wash cloths, mouldy chopping boards and mouse droppings along with food handlers not washing their hands. The FOI request issued by the inspector also revealed that the owner and workers had access to other areas which also required cleaning, for eg the walls and the fryers.

Investment into electric buses to support the Clean Air Zone approved

Sheffield council will be investing in electric buses in order to tackle pollution.

Sheffield charity launches urgent appeal for sleeping bags

Ben’s Centre charity has appealed for the public to donate sleeping bags for vulnerable people on the streets.

The charity provides a safe space and support for those suffering with substance abuse, including the misuse of drugs and alcohol.
