Sheffield families left ‘really desperate’ following nationwide ADHD medication shortage
A national shortage of ADHD medication has emerged in 2024, with the NHS unable to get the ingredients for the medication.
Georgie Boot, Project Manager for Sheffield ADHD Project, Family Action, said: ADHD is a registered disability, so imagine having a different disability like cerebral palsy and you’re given a wheelchair as support for medication. Then imagine all that medication taken away and them expecting you to walk.
South Yorkshire Sea cadet awarded rare top Sergeant rank
An 18-year-old from Barnsley has become one of the highest ranking Sea Cadets, an honour awarded to less than one percent of trainees in the country.
James Sandham-Mulholland was awarded the cadet Sergeant rank after being a cadet for just five years.

20mph speed zones approved outside Sheffield Schools
Sheffield City Council has decided to implement two 20mph speed zones in residential areas despite 182 objections.
The aim is to improve air quality and safety around schools.
