A new attraction “Somewhere Different” has opened in the Moor in Sheffield, 120 different illusion exhibits designed to confuse your brain.
The gallery opened on 2 May and hosts over offering a unique interactive gallery, alongside puzzles and games.
Matt Taylor, the founder, said: “The idea developed 2 years ago, when my son and I were at a science museum and watching his excitement interacting with various exhibits, I thought we need something like that in Sheffield.”
The museum is made up of 4 different areas: The Gallery of Illusions & Puzzles, the PlayDeck, the Tea Room and the Squishy Fidget Shop
The space is ideal for all ages and is great for a family day out, or to have a laugh with friends and offers plenty of opportunities to take a fun photo.
“We went through several names, but eventually settled on Somewhere Different to give the idea that this isn’t like anything else in Sheffield.” said Mr Taylor.

The gallery is an interactive space, containing illusion exhibits like the tilted room, the giant bubble and the mirror maze, aimed to engage your senses.
Alongside this, the space also has an indoor play area for children to explore afterwards, with a cafe inside.
Mr Taylor said: “Honestly our biggest challenge has been the increasing costs, everything has jumped in price since we originally set our budget. Add to that, the increased wage costs, it’s been a big challenge getting to open.”
The opening took place on May bank holiday weekend, and is advertised as a local place, built by locals, run by locals for the locals.
The attraction has received positive reviews so far with lots of praise about the spaciousness of the exhibit, as well as its unique selling point.
For the future of this attraction, Mr Taylor said: “At the moment we are just putting all of our energy into making Something Different an important stop for both locals and tourists of Sheffield.
“We believe it’s a great addition to the city’s cultural offering and will hopefully help bring more people to the city centre.”
