Sheffield Photographic Society’s annual exhibition returns to Sheffield this week.

The displays of the society’s best photographs from the last year will be available from today until 6 April at Sheffield Cathedral.

The free exhibition will showcase 159 prints from 36 members covering a range of genres and styles.

The society was founded in 1864 and is one of the oldest in the world.

Keith Brown, 76, a former president of the society who has been a member for over 30 years will be opening the event at midday on Friday 28 March.

He said: “It’s a great event for anyone interested in photography or looking to get involved.

“Whatever you’re interested in there will be something for you to enjoy.”
