BREAKING NEWS: Tenant protected from eviction as council brought a prosecution against landlord

Jama Ahmed Farrah, of Brunswick Street, Sheffield has been ordered to pay £2,500 in fines, compensation and costs after Sheffield City Council successfully brought a prosecution against him.

Mr Farrah pleaded guilty to a charge of doing acts likely to interfere with the peace and comfort of his tenants, causing the tenants to leave the shared house.

Police launch new safety initiative for Barnsley bars

South Yorkshire Police have launched a new initiative across Barnsley to increase safety for night venue visitors.

The scheme, based in the town centre, is expected to decrease numbers of criminal behaviour and public nuisance whilst focusing on protecting vulnerable customers.

BREAKING NEWS: West Street KFC Wins Approval For Late Night Hours Despite Complaints From Police And The Public

Sheffield KFC was granted permission by the council to open overnight after striking a deal with the police.

As of now the KFC closes between 12am-2am every day but last week they applied for a 24-hour licence, planning to sell food and drink between the hours of 11pm and 5am.
