Open Up Festival is creating a community for Sheffield artists who are coming together to exhibit their artwork this bank holiday.
The event, which takes place across two weekends, 4-5 May and 11-12 May, is curated by artists from all around the area.
It allows members of the public to experience local studios, see artwork, and have the chance to buy original pieces.
Lizzy Alageswaran, a member of the Open Up committee, said: “We deliberately moved to Sheffield, for not only the surrounding countryside, but we also visited Sheffield when Open Up was here, and it just seemed such an exciting event.”
Over 120 artists take part in the event which takes place every year, with locations ranging from the city centre to Hathersage.
Artist Sue Nichol said it creates a sense of community and belonging between them.
She said: “I find that I have quite a few people that come back year after year, which is really nice, there is always someone new.
“A few of my visitors have even become friends, and big collectors!”
There is a wide range of media from photography studios to jewellery, with more traditional methods such as canvas paintings.
The festival is free to attend and more information is available online at About – Open Up Sheffield
