A workshop on bug-making using old fabric and cloth has taken over Sheffield.
Build-A-Bug has attracted people in Broomhill to build their own insects out of unused fabric scraps, with the help of event organiser Taylor Ogle-Timson, who goes by ‘Tailor Trixie’.
The events have attracted so much attention on TikTok that the event often sells out and a wait list system has been implemented.
Trixie is also hosting multiple events, using up sustainable materials, and limiting waste in the area.
A three-part tiered-maxi skirt making workshop began this week, with the opportunity to learn and develop new skills.
Trixie said: “Friends had bits of fabric they didn’t know what to do with anymore, and when you start creating for yourself you generate a lot of waste.”
