The Open up Festival is coming back to Sheffield for its 25th year from the 29th of April.

The festivals gives local artists the opportunity of opening their studios to members of the public.

Among the artists taking part are Phil and Ruth Lockwood who are returning after years away due to health reasons.

Mr Lockwood, 81, had previously been part of the committee but now returns just as an artist.

He said: “It will be nice to go back to the event.

“I think it’s all about showing your work and hopefully other people will enjoy seeing it.”

The couple gave ShefNews a tour of their home studio, and spoke about the inspiration in their art.
